Those nasty birds come and sit on the kangaroo's windowsill every morning and make such a racket that he can't sleep. The poor kangaroo is going crazy, and he doesn't know what to do. Since he doesn't really understand why birds are so rude, he decides to teach them a lesson by showing them that thay're not the only animals who can fly.
