The contributions gathered in this volume explore the possible uses of Bible translations to open new perspectives in the history of Iberian Romance languages. In addition to the linguistic description of Bible translations, they provide innovative analyses of a number of morphosyntactic phenomena of high theoretical interest, thus contributing to improve our historical understanding of Castilian, Catalan and Portuguese.

The calalogue contains 85 pieces from the holdings of the museum considered for their excellence as masterpieces of colonial, republican and contemporary art. The publication celebrates the reopening of the museum, located in a 18th century palace. The edition is divided in two sections: an introductory section refers to the history, historic context, collections and architectural transformations of the MNA and a second and larger section features the commented catalogue illustrated with full-page color plates of the selected pieces.
