Publicada en 1962 por Revista de Occidente, la SEGUNDA ANTOLOGÍA DE LA POESÍA CHINA, en la cual MARCELA DE JUAN (1905-1981) seleccionó, prologó y tradujo con acierto y sensibilidad sin par algunos de los mejores poemas de la milenaria lírica china, se ha convertido en un clásico probablemente no superado. Su privilegiada condición de china y española (su nombre chino era Ma Ce Hwang), así como la formación esmerada y cosmopolita que le posibilitaron sus circunstancias familiares fue hija de un mandarín dedicado a la Diplomacia y su madre era belga , hicieron de ella la persona idónea para trasladar este exquisito material poético de un idioma a otro tan distinto. La ponderación del libro es inútil: basta con abrirlo por cualquier página al azar. La amena y evocadora presentación de Antonio Segura Morís contribuye a darnos a conocer los detalles de la singular existencia de Marcela de Juan, jalonada por los principales sucesos del siglo xx, así como de su poderosa personalidad.
