Sinopsis del Libro
La Ciudad de México llegó a ser la zona con el mayor número de casetas telefónicas de todo el país con 13 por cada 1,000 habitantes. Sin embargo, la llegada del internet y de la telefonía móvil modificó la anterior forma de comunicarse con estos nuevos hábitos y dispositivos inteligentes que fueron desplazando estas cabinas que últimamente ya solo anuncian los planes de servicio mas recientes de la compañía pues desde hace mucho dejaron de ofrecer su servicio de origen para hacer llamadas y de las que en buena medida ya solo queda en la memoria su recuerdo. Este fotolibro refleja solo una parte de todas esas historias de estos útiles aparatos que ante la inclemencia del tiempo, el clima, la delincuencia y el ocio siguen en espera de lo que será su destino. Mexico City became the area with the highest number of telephone booths in the entire country with 13 per 1,000 persons. However, the arrival of the internet and mobile telephony modified the previous way of communicating with these new habits and smart devices that were displacing these booths that lately only announce the most recent service plans of the company because they have long stopped using offer their original service to make calls and of which to a large extent only their memory remains in memory. This photobook reflects only a part of all those stories of these useful devices that in the face of inclement time, the weather, crime and leisure are still waiting for what will be their fate.
