Sinopsis del Libro

Este libro trata el arte actual en Asturias como un patrimonio en curso, aportando un estudio sobre la práctica creativa, la recepción y los aspectos mediáticos. Junto a la panorámica, siempre en crecimiento, del arte de hoy, se ha abordado también su posible deuda con respecto al pasado reciente, en términos de construcción y de proceso. Se ha tenido en cuenta la necesidad de contemplar las contaminaciones y proyecciones que se producen, los encuentros y desencuentros, recogiendo el pulso de diferentes propuestas plásticas. Libertad interdisciplinaria, versatilidad e hibridación, más allá de criterios como la individualidad o la originalidad, constituyen algunos de los rasgos con los que podemos caracterizar los modos de hacer y de entender el arte de nuestros días. Se ha pretendido dejar constancia de los desplazamientos que el arte ha venido experimentando, en relación con las mutaciones sociales y con los propios cambios creativos, considerando una pluralidad de trayectorias y dinámicas. Con todo, el talante de este trabajo es el de proponer posibles caminos y recorridos que permitan un discurrir por las experiencias artísticas que se han dado en Asturias, sin cerrar vías interpretativas e intentando construir un modo de conocimiento acorde con las características dispersión, multiplicidad, polisemia, etcétera y exigencias de las mismas.
