The Design of the home continues to be of great interest to both architects and designers. How to configure a living space according to the characteristics of a site and the specification of the client is still the starting point of any house project. However, the final solutions can be as diverse as they can be interesting. This publication takes a specific look at the way architecture will evolve when regarding inhabitations around the world due to climatic changes and different cultural expectations.

The author describes and discusses the influence Le Corbusier in Uruguay through a series of trips, the first done by the Swiss-French architect in 1929, and the remaining ones from the three Uruguayan architects who joined the workshop of the notable architect: Carlos Gómez Gavazzo, in 1933, Justino Serralta, in 1948, and Carlos Clémot, in 1949. La presente obra contiene un sustrato expositivo de la arquitectura gaudiniana sobre el sentido naturalista del arte de Gaudi, segun la tesis doctoral de Gustavo Garcia Gabarro, dirigida por Juan Bassegoda Nonell quien, a su vez, expone un resumen de los estudios realizados en la Real Catedra Gaudi a lo largo de 30 anos.
