El Carnaval cordial de las distancias

Mi mundo no se rompió no es un libro que hable de cómo he superado mis miedos, sino de cómo he aprendido a convivir con ellos. No es libro que hable de cómo abandoné mi tristeza, sino de cómo me abrazo a ella y la entiendo. Este libro soy yo caminando por las calles de la infinitud de mis emociones y de mis sentimientos; no es nada más que eso, sin reparo alguno.

Un dia me propuse hacer algo, preparar un poemario con todas las poesias que tenia guardadas desde mucho tiempo atras. Dejar un recuerdo postumo para que mis hijas pudieran disfrutar en el futuro cuando pudieran leer este poemario. Desde que estaba en la escuela Intermedia Isabel Suarez de mi pueblo de Anasco siempre escribia poemas de diferentes generos que gustaron mucho entre mis amigos de estudio para aquel tiempo. Despues de tener varios poemas ya escritos me decidi a preparar un poemario donde incluyera mas poesias. Para entonces comence con una poesia que gusto mucho la cual titule...

I am delighted to see this second book in the Bridges Series come to print. I originally conceived of this series of books to be a bridge between two cultures, a bridge between colleagues, friends and fellow writers - two Cubans and two Canadians in each book. Ever since the inception of the CCLA in 2004 we have tried to live up to our mandate: The mandate of the Canada Cuba Literary Alliance is to advance cultural solidarity between Canada and Cuba through the creative expression of poetry, prose, art and photography. All the poems in this work are those that the author has published between 1995 and 2001. Some poems that were later made into songs appear in both versions. As in the previous Inventario books, this one starts with the most recent poems and concludes with the oldest, perhaps with the hopes that the reader, by having access to this work through the newest and nearest door, will soon be tempted to open other doors, as if doing an inventory.
