La docena de trabajos que componen el presente volumen se ciñen al periodo 1750-1850, o sea al que va de la época de la Ilustración a la del Romanticismo, y desvelan una de las peculiaridades de la investigación en un sector del hispanismo universitario francés: la dedicación al estudio de la "civilización".
