La arquitectura lingüística del compromiso

Sinopsis del Libro

Dialogamos y deliberamos con el otro antes de establecer nuestros compromisos verbales, sobre todo cuando existe el riesgo de perder el acuerdo comunicativo. Cual es el andamiaje linguistico de los enunciados prescriptivos? Que distingue a un acto verbal del "deber ser" de un imperativo y de una asercion? Que de la fuerza del compromiso esta arraigado en la estructura de la lengua? En esta obra se definen las oraciones deonticas -oraciones de compromiso- desde un punto de vista linguistico. Se estudian las estrategias discursivas del hablante para identificarse a si mismo, a su interlocutor o a cualquier otro actor social con los participantes formales de todo acto de "deber ser." La categoria de modalidad es el eje del estudio. Modalidad es el sistema sintactico-semantico que significa la validez del enunciado y que organiza los acercamientos y distanciamientos entre el hablante y el oyente con respecto a los participantes significados en la oracion: la autoridad y el destinatario normativo. Esta teoria de los actos verbales deonticos se construye y comprueba con datos del espanol: debates publicos y usos en Mexico de algunos verbos modales del espanol como "deber, poder, prometer, obligar y permitir."
