Este libro concentra un muestrario de las realidades ling sticas de todo el pa s a partir de una serie de encuestas llevadas a cabo por investigadores de El Colegio de M xico, por toda la Rep blica Mexicana, durante los trabajos de campo encaminados a la elaboraci n del Atlas ling stico de M xico. Con la disposici n de tan rico material ling stico, se realiz una selecci n de muestras en que se reflejara el habla usual en todos y cada uno de los estados de la Rep blica. Dicha selecci n estuvo a cargo de los investigadores del Centro de Ling stica de la Universidad Nacional Aut noma de M xico.
