Los predicadores novohispanos del siglo XVI

Se reúne las ponencias presentadas en este encuentro realizado en la PUCP, agosto del 2003. Los artículos esbozan una aproximación a una historia comparada entre Perú y México, países cuyos territorios albergaron a dos de las más altas culturas de la antigüedad americana y que fueron sede de los virreinatos fundados en el Nuevo Mundo durante el s. XVI.

This anthological edition is a well-deserved tribute on the life work of Bostelmann (b. Mexico), one of Mexico's most noted late 20th century photographers. This photographic retrospective presents his striking b/w photographs of desolated and rainy places, nude figures, the town of Cuetzalan, political meetings, children and his ironic color series (CrÑnica de familia, la vida en breve, gallo). Bostelmann was against what he called the "current use and abuse of digital elements" to enhance photography.

Exhibition of the mural and the art surrounding Diego Rivera's famous mural " Sueño de una tarde dominical en la Alameda Central". Completed in 1947, the mural depicts scenes and people from the Spanish Conquest to the middle of the 20th century. The exhibition is based on the documentary collection of the great collector Ricardo Pérez Escamilla. The exhibition unites in order the documents and original publications that have iconographic roots in the mural. Other works of the epoch have been included to show different imagery or graphics of the images present in the mural as a complement...
