Once upon a time, there was a mouse who lived in Europe who longed to go to America, the land of liberty, and be reunited with his friends who had fled. He decides the best way to get there would be to fly. He makes many attempts until he finally designs the perfect plane. His successful voyage inspires an entire nation, including a young boy named Charles Lindbergh. Children will love the detailed illustrations and the mouse's determination in spite of some failed attempts in this very original picture book. A brief history of aviation is included at the end of the book.
