El objetivo de esta investigación es identificar y analizar los diversos procesos sociales, económicos y políticos de los indígenas en Cali en el siglo XVIII, como un ejemplo de uno de los resultados de los procesos de negociación, adaptación y resistencia entre los sectores populares y las élites.
