Sinopsis del Libro

Paloma Gil escribe acerca de lo que significa hacer arquitectura y destinado los estudiantes. ¿Es teoría? Algo de ello tendrá, sin duda, pero es, en todo caso, la voluntad de terciar en el mundo del proyecto por medio de la palabra, del pensamiento y de la crítica, sin resignarse a ser únicamente un buen maestro de taller. Consciente de hablar para un mundo en en muy buena medida ha cambiado, que sigue y seguirá en permanente cambio, pero que ha de sustentarse fuertemente en su pasado, la autora quiere introducir a los estudiantes en algunos de los campos que a la arquitectura obligadamente interesan. Así, se pasa revista, en primer lugar, a la consideración de la forma como principio fundamental de la arquitectura, sin orillar lo que para ésta supuso la vertiginosa sucesión de acontecimientos e ideas durante el mundo moderno.
