A través de los croquis que componen este libro, su autor, Rodrigo Pérez de Arce, no solo nos enseña a mirar la ciudad de Valparaíso con otros ojos, sino que además deja en evidencia su cariño por el puerto. La obsesión y la dedicación por recorrer los edificios, plazas y cerros queda representada en trazos que, en suma, componen la perspectiva de su autor y la mirada crítica que pone sobre ellos en sus anotaciones.
