La pelicula de mayor exito y proyeccion internacional del cine cubano, Fresa y chocolate 1993, ha sido leida en muchas ocasiones como reivindicacion de una actitud tolerante hacia los homosexuales. En este libro se defiende la tesis de que esta vision no es mas que un caso particular de una propuesta de tolerancia entendida de forma mas general, y muy fundamentalmente politica.
