El profesor Ávila divide esta obra en dos partes, una teórica, en la que aborda lo que es el doblaje y los distintos tipos de doblaje que existen, una breve introducción histórica; los requisitos para ser un buen actor de doblaje y los conceptos fundamentales en torno a este tema. La segunda parte está dedicada a la práctica, con indicaciones, ejercicios y figuras ilustrativas que enseñan como doblar.
