Sinopsis del Libro

Este libro está dividido en dos partes, incluye en su primera el desarrollo de un marco o enfoque conceptual de la ciudad y sus lugares; en la segunda, experiencias concretas de intervenciones proyectivas y de gestión del autor, precedidas en cada programa u operación de las consideraciones personales que el problema-tema le indujeron, vale decir el marco de ideas motrices de sus procesos de lectura de la realidad, imaginantes de ella como situación creativa nueva e inédita. Estos textos, alguno fenomenológico, otro histórico, alguno antropológico, otro pictórico, otro sincrético, no intentan erigirse en el discurso de una convergencia disciplinaria o de una integración imposibles, ni en un pragmatismo u operativismo, no pretenden sino señalar caminos, horizontes del hecho urbano mostrados como marco referencial de una praxis que se sabe limitada. Intentan eludir el imperialismo cultural de las ciencias parcelarias, incluido el urbanismo, quieren convocar la reflexión, una actitud abierta y confiada en el uso social y la apropiación poética. Pretenden privilegiar lo urbano y el habitar como producto cultural uno y esencia de nuestro ser en el mundo, el otro.
