El presente libro reúne una serie muy diversa de textos que se han dividido en tres grandes apartados temáticos. El estudio y transcripción de esta fuente manuscrita de la catedral de Murcia son una aportación a la colección de fuentes de la Región de Murcia. Este texto es la única visita manuscrita que se encuentra en el archivo del Cabildo Murciano, su edición supone un principio para muchas investigaciones posteriores en cualquier campo de la historia sobre todo, por lo datos directos que aporta para el mejor conocimiento de la historia del edificio, y de las élites que en ella se hicieron enterrar, así como los problemas que tenía a finales del siglo XVI.
